Jury

Bruno Barsanti (IT) is a curator and art producer. He holds a degree in Arts Management from Bocconi University in Milan and he took part in the first edition of the Curatorial Programme CAMPO (2012–2013), organised by the Turin-based Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo. Over the years, he has worked with contemporary art galleries and institutions in Italy and abroad, having curated a number of exhibitions and projects, often held in unconventional spaces. In 2013, he co-curated the group show NOISE, a collateral event to the 55th Venice Biennale. Between 2014 and 2018 he collaborated with Galleria Franco Noero on the production of several exhibitions and publications, and he served as Head of the Curatorial Board at The Others Art Fair in Turin between 2016 and 2018. He is currently in charge of the development of visual art projects at Combo, a new initiative combining art and hospitality.

Evita Goze (LV) is a curator, writer and artist. She is currently a project manager and a curator at the ISSP Gallery in Riga and of the Self Publish Riga photobook festival. She attained a BA in Photography from University of Brighton, UK, and an MA in Visual Communication from the Art Academy of Latvia. In 2012, she received a grant for exchange studies at the Nagoya University of Arts, Japan. She is also a contributing writer for Latvian magazines IR and Kultūras Diena, websites FK Magazine, arterritory.com, and The British Journal of Photography and Tjej Land, which focus on photography and contemporary art.

Kati Ilves (EE) works as a curator at the Kumu Art Museum, Tallinn. She holds a BA and MA in Art History from the Estonian Academy of Arts, and has studied literature and film at Paris 8 University. She was a participant of the Curatorial Programme at de Appel in Amsterdam in 2016–2017. She has curated solo exhibitions and group shows, and put together research-based projects. In 2017, she worked as a curator for the Estonian Pavilion at the 57th Venice Biennale displaying the exhibition If Only You Could See What I’ve Seen with Your Eyes by Katja Novitskova. Recently, she curated a group show Ascending from the Liquid Horizon at the lieu unique art centre in Nantes, France.

Karin Laansoo (EE) is director of both the Estonian Contemporary Art Development Center and Outset Estonia. Since receiving her MA in Art History from the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2002, she has worked as a producer and gallery manager in Tallinn and New York. From 2008 to 2013 she was director of PointB, an international artist residency in Brooklyn, New York. She has curated numerous exhibitions and projects in both the United States and Europe as well as published the award-winning book 22+ Young Estonian Artists (2005). In 2013, the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs honoured Karin for her work in introducing Estonian contemporary culture in New York. She was also co-recipient of the Cultural Endowment of Estonia annual award in visual arts in 2017.

Niekolaas Johannes Lekkerkerk (NL) works as a curator and writer for The Office for Curating in Rotterdam. Central to Lekkerkerk’s work are social and political discourses revolving around daily living and working practices, cultural norms and ideologies. He particularly focuses on debates concerning the Anthropocene, ecology and climate, post-humanism, and the increasing entanglement between nature and culture. Lekkerkerk recently published The Standard Book of Noun-Verb Exhibition Grammar (2018), a publication regarding the exhibition as an ecological assemblage. In 2012 he received the inaugural Demergon Curatorial Award, and in 2014 he was the beneficiary of the Akbank Sanat International Curator Competition.
